Take a look  at Tim Raab's photos from the 2007 Catskills Irish Arts Week. Here is a write up that Paul Keating did of Tim's work for the 2006 Irish Arts Week:

Fine Arts Photographer Timothy Raab's Irish Arts Exhibition

The second week of July, 2006, over a thousand Irish musicians, dancers, crafts people and fans from 30 States, Ireland, 6 Canadian provinces, Japan and New Zealand all gathered at the historic Irish-American hamlet of East Durham, NY, at the 12th annual edition of Catskills Irish Arts Week. East Durham blossomed into an enchanted Irish village teeming with the traditional sounds of fiddles, flutes, accordions, Irish harps, pipes, guitars, bouzouki, whistles, bodhrams, banjos, harmonicas, keyboards, concertinas, mandolins, hammer dulcimer, singing voices, and dance.

Timothy Raab's digital photographic 'diary' captured days and nights of music sessions, concerts, and workshops in digital images with short music/audio clips. Photographers will appreciate that Timothy Raab's entire exhibition , especially the evening photography, was created in ambient light, without electronic flash.

The documentary sets out with an informal front porch music session on a warm Sunday evening. The final segment captures a series of late Friday night music sessions alive with acoustic music and jubilant camaraderie at Darby's, McGrath's, McKenna's, and Furlong's, lasting until daylight.

Photographer Timothy Raab's Catskills Irish Arts Week 2007 Sights and Sounds exhibition is now on line at: http://www.timraabnorthern.com/festivals.htm  .
